Administrative/ Fundraising Assistant

Job Title: Administrative/ Fundraising Assistant
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Volunteers
Hours: 20 hours/week
Salary: DOE

Position Summary: The Administrative/Fundraising Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director and managing normal day-to-day duties of keeping the office running smoothly. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting the Board of Directors with fundraising events and projects from planning through execution as directed by their supervisor.

Specific Duties:
Administrative Duties:

  • Answer telephones and direct calls of take messages
  • Sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Ensure mail is sent out daily
  • Inventory & purchase office supplies
  • Ensure that office equipment is serviced & functioning
  • Provide general clerical support as needed to the ED and staff, including newsletter assistance and website updates DMV driving record and valid driver’s license

Fundraising & Volunteer Coordination Duties:

  • Provide office, phone, and clerical support for fundraising projects
  • Responsible for logistics of events, often including location, insurance, promotion, and coordination of publicity
  • Track expenses and income for all fundraisers in spreadsheet form
  • Maintain donor database in the GiftWorks program
  • Work to recruit, and retain volunteers
  • Match volunteers with positions that integrate their special skills and interests
  • Schedule volunteers to work on fundraisers, special projects, and committees
  • Supervise volunteers working on fundraisers, special projects & committees
  • Maintain volunteer database
  • Make oral presentations as necessary in the community

Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a part-time Administrative/Fundraising Assistant responsible for providing general clerical support to the Executive Director and CANC staff. Additionally, this position works as needed with the Board of Directors to develop and implement fundraising projects and special events. General fundraising duties involve clerical, logistical, planning, and volunteer recruitment/supervision support.
