Job description
Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a full-time Home Visitor (HV) to work out of the Nevada City office. HVs offer parenting advice, resources, and support to families. Home Visitors form a trusting relationship with pregnant and mothers with newborns and offer parenting advice, resources, and support to families for up to five years.
Duties: The Home Visitor (HV) will help families identify and develop strengths using a curriculum to assist pregnant and new parents with baby development, bonding, support, developing skills and providing resources.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus prior to hiring.
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Child Development or related Social Service field from an accredited college or university. Experience working directly with clients in a community-based and service organization is desired.
Technology: Candidates must be able to navigate Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and be familiar with Zoom or similar virtual platforms.
Pay: $21.80, Full-time M-F, 9/80 shift. Every other Friday off, non-exempt

Home Visitor Job Description
Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a part time bilingual in Spanish Home Visitor for the Healthy Babies (HB) Home Visiting Program in Truckee, with one day in Nevada City. Home Visitors offer a parenting curriculum, resources, and support to expecting and new parents.
Duties: Under the direction of Supervisor, the Home Visitor conducts outreach and home visits with assigned families in the Truckee community. The Home Visitor will help families identify strengths, develop a strong parent/child bond, connect with resources, and set and meet goals.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish required.

F/C Bookkeeper – NEVADA CITY, CA
Job description
Full Charge Bookkeeper proficient in all aspects of Quick Books including payroll prep and payroll taxes. Fund accounting knowledge and non-profit experience helpful as well as extensive use of Excel. Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize duties and work well on your own as well as part of a team.
