Events and Marketing Coordinator

Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a part time Events and Marketing Coordinator in Nevada City, CA. This position is responsible for coordination of agency events and fundraisers and for development of marketing materials both online and in print, focusing on bringing awareness to our mission while raising the profile of Child Advocates. This position is also responsible for social media outreach, online fundraising campaigns and maintaining content on agency website.

Duties:

  • Organize and coordinate event logistics including location, insurance, event sponsorships, tickets, volunteer coordination, and marketing/publicity
  • Maintain agency website
  • Coordinate and maintain an ongoing social media presence
  • Coordinate donation/sponsorship acquisition for events in collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Design marketing/fundraising/event graphics and material including brochures, invitations, banners, posters, and advertisements
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours during events

Minimum qualifications: Demonstrated professional, leadership, and administrative skills. The ability to effectively interact with co-workers, volunteers, donors, and board members to accomplish common tasks is essential. Excellent time management, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully/meet deadlines

Technology: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proficient in Adobe Graphics Programs such as InDesign and/or Adobe Illustrator, experience with content management systems (website platform) a plus.

Job Type: Part time, 15 – 20 hours M-F, with some weekend availability.

Home Visitor / Healthy Babies Program – in Truckee

Home Visitor Job description

Child Advocates of Nevada County seeks a full-time Home Visitor (HV) to work out of the Truckee office. HVs offer parenting advice, resources, and support to families.

Duties: The Home Visitor (HV) will help families identify and develop strengths using a curriculum to assist pregnant and new parents with baby development, bonding, support, developing skills and providing resources.

  • Must be fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus prior to hiring
  • Will consider part time hours
  • Bonus after successful completion of probation for bilingual/Spanish

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Child Development or related Social Service field from an accredited college or university. Experience working directly with clients in a community-based and service organization is desired.

Technology: Candidates must be able to navigate Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and be familiar with Zoom or similar virtual platforms.

Quality Assurance Data Technician/ Healthy Babies Program

 

Quality Assurance Data Technician Job Description:

Under the direction of the Program Manager (PM), the Quality Assurance Data Technician(QADT) manages the data entry and database operations for the Healthy Babies program. This position will ensure that data is entered correctly, reporting is timely and accurate, and will analyze and develop reports to monitor outcomes. With input from the Program Manager, the Quality Assurance Data Technician will create a Policy & Procedure Manual for this position and provide program evaluation via data analysis, coordinate all data system activities with the existing State of California Home Visiting Program, and assist with the implementation of the Healthy Families America (HFA) site accreditation process and ongoing operations.

Compensation:     $22.50/hour (depending on experience) part-time 20-30 hrs/week, non-exempt position

Hybrid work environment. Two days in the office.
