Giving Tuesday is the Global Day of Generosity. One way to be a part of this worldwide movement is to support a cause you believe in. Child Advocates offers direct support for children with three unique programs here in Nevada County. CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, are well-trained and supportive advocates for foster youth in school, in court and in everyday life. Healthy Babies is a home-visitation program that helps provide stability and a strong foundation for infants and growing children. The Child Safety Puppeteers program is an educational outreach puppet performance that visits local elementary schools and teaches children how to recognize abuse, inappropriate touching, and bullying.
Today, we ask you to give a gift that will offer the promise of one supportive and caring adult for every child who has suffered severe abuse or neglect in Nevada County. A gift of a bright future where infants and mothers are cared for with a supportive team of well-trained home visitors. Or a gift to our youth that will give them the tools they need to find their voice and report abuse and bullying. You can help bring us closer to the day when every child in our county can receive the services and support needed to succeed.

Children in the foster care system have complex lives and many have experienced deep trauma. But they are still undeniably children – vulnerable, scared. playful, curious – like all children. Give Essential Supplies
Help us welcome home new babies with a “welcome baby” package. Donate new and unopened formula, diapers, bottles, or pacifiers. They can be dropped off at our offices in Nevada City or click the button below to make a monetary donation to the program.
Pave the Way for a Healthy Future
